Job Summary

We seek an Administrative Compliance Coordinator to join our MHA Compliance Team on a fixed-term, part-time contract. This role involves maintaining in-depth knowledge of the 1983 Mental Health Act and providing administrative support for its administration and application.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop a deep understanding of the Mental Health Act and convert this knowledge into detailed administration.
  2. Liaise with Social Services Departments and other stakeholders to facilitate patient 'sectioning.'
  3. Manage administrative tasks for Managers Hearings and Mental Health Tribunals, ensuring patients are informed about their rights.
  4. Support the wards in processing Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards requests and authorisations.
  5. Maintain accurate patient records, following Trust procedures.
Requirements
  • Good educational background to GCSE/A Level
  • English Language GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel
