About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Ganymede, a leading provider of engineering solutions for the marine, construction, agricultural, rail, and defence sectors. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fault diagnostics on modern diesel engines, downloading data, and ECU familiarity.
  • Undertake remote diagnostic work to obtain, evaluate, and interpret data to identify likely faults before physically seeing the engine.
  • Provide product training and support to ensure performance and availability for diesel engines in the rolling stock.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to engineering problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ3 qualification in mechanical and electrical maintenance of diesel engines and/or propulsion systems.
  • Experience in fault diagnostics and remote diagnostics and conditioning.
  • Ability to work in a customer-facing role and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and associated electrical control technology.
