About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Nutrition Specialist to join our team at Co-op Little Pioneers. As a key member of our nursery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our children receive healthy and nutritious meals that support their growth and development.

With a strong focus on food safety and hygiene, you will work closely with our nursery staff to plan and prepare meals that cater to the dietary needs of our children. Your expertise in nutrition and health will also help us to promote healthy eating habits and wellbeing among our children and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare healthy meals for our children, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences
  • Work closely with our nursery staff to ensure that food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times
  • Collaborate with our nutrition team to develop and implement healthy eating policies and practices
  • Provide training and support to our nursery staff on nutrition and health-related topics
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and food providers to ensure that we source high-quality ingredients
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and COSHH requirements
  • Experience in catering for large numbers
  • Great budget knowledge and ability to manage costs
  • Sound knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to cater to different needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
