About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Domestic Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust as a Domestic Assistant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive support service in the hospital environment, including general cleaning, infection control, and patient support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out daily duties as instructed by the Domestic Supervisor.
  • General / routine cleaning of wards, clinical and non-clinical departments / offices, communal areas and public areas, toilets in line with the local cleaning schedules as designated.
  • Assisting in any infection control deep cleans are directed by the Domestic Supervisor or Facilities Support Services Manager.
  • Ensuring that all barrier nursing and infection related PPE is fully utilised in line with the displayed signs on patient doors.
  • Ensuring that all cleaning materials are used in accordance with mandated facilities processes.
