We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as Chief Executive Officer of the National Film & Sound Archive. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Australian film and sound heritage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the NFSA, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the Board and stakeholders to drive growth and development, ensuring the NFSA remains a premier archive of Australian film, sound, and emerging media cultural heritage.
  • Manage the national audiovisual collection, ensuring its preservation, interpretation, and accessibility.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including government agencies, industry stakeholders, and the wider arts and cultural community.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience, preferably in a cultural or heritage organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement a compelling vision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
