About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Film Industry Leader to join our team at The DDA Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading our film and entertainment clients to success.

Your Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Campaigns:

  • Develop and implement effective press strategies for our film clients, including recommending suitable outlets and journalists.
  • Lead high-profile campaigns simultaneously, liaising with major clients and distributors without supervision.
  • Recognize opportunities to improve workload distribution and flag with the team's director.
  • Manage tour activity from afar and act as the main point of contact for clients.
  • Problem-solve major campaign issues independently and discuss potential solutions with clients.
  • Provide sound advice to clients based on knowledge and experience of objectives and strategy.
  • Navigate and manage client relationships, understanding their perspectives and requirements.
  • Develop strong client relationships to ensure ongoing client satisfaction.

Festivals:

  • Lead on titles at festivals, taking the lead on client liaison and managing staffing to ensure all logistics and publicity needs are met.
  • Use spare time effectively to build on existing client relationships.
  • Have experience handling titles at major A-list film festivals and smaller/specialized festivals.
  • Understand how to tailor press schedules to a specific film project's needs.
  • Manage client and filmmaker expectations during submission and acceptance at festivals, programming decisions, and festival strategy.

Press & International Distributors Relationships:

  • Advise clients on suitable press strategies for their specific film, including recommending fast-breaking press and journalists.
  • Network with journalists regularly.

New Business & Industry Relationships:

  • Develop close working relationships with clients and add value with expert knowledge.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of client context, competitors, and industry.
  • Work with the strengths of the team to find the best solution for any given project.
  • Offer help and guidance to junior team members while they draft proposals and presentations.
  • Recognize opportunities to expand services and oversee new business presentations and proposals.
  • Ensure the team eloquently communicates key concepts throughout their work.
  • Recognize when to question client strategy and ideas and do so in a sensitive and eloquent manner.
  • Contribute to winning new business for The DDA Group.
  • Maintain awareness of industry hot topics and suggest ways to utilize them to The DDA Group's advantage.
  • Be the main contact for specific/repeat clients and earn responsibility for maintaining those relationships.

  • Consider and understand the pressures of the team as a whole.
  • Take initiative and make suggestions about the division of labor and proactively organize meetings with the whole team.
  • Induct newly assigned junior staff in the fundamentals of the account.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Proven leadership with excellent client relationship skills, preferably within the Film, TV, and Entertainment sector.
  • Strong relationship building skills, with a focus on relationships with clients, senior management, and significant stakeholders.
  • Some experience with growing accounts and new business opportunities, with demonstrable examples.
  • A passion for learning and getting under the skin of client businesses to give them the best possible outcomes.
  • Previous experience in mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Highly motivated, positive, and proactive team player with exceptional influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects.
  • Possession of expert written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to bring in new processes and ways of working.
  • A team player, willing to share knowledge and discuss approaches and tactics but also able to work independently.
  • Wider understanding and passion for the film industry.
