Maintenance Operative Job Description

Fresh Horticultural Careers is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the appearance of our clients' gardens meets or exceeds expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out various garden tasks as requested, including maintenance of designated gardens and equipment.
  • Follow instructions and work collaboratively with the Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain effective employee, client, and public relations.
  • Log own timesheets/hours and absenteeism on relevant employee online portals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year experience in residential garden maintenance/soft landscaping or a combination of transferable skills.
  • Basic knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in garden maintenance operations.
  • Basic first aid certificate or greater.
  • Desirable: horticultural qualifications, PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates, and a drivers' license.
  • Physical aptitude to working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Ability to take and follow instructions, good oral and written communication skills, and great cooperation and team skills.
