Assistant Store Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Dulux Decorating Centres. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and market share growth, building strong relationships with customers, and developing and engaging the store sales team to meet performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in delivering a culture of engagement and implementing the national engagement plan.
  • Assist in nurturing a high-performing sales team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Own and manage store standards in line with the DDC Operational Excellence Guide.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to own the P&L, focusing on delivering sales while optimizing margin, cost efficiency, and protecting against stock and cash losses.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Help review performance and monitor customer and store trends.
  • Support improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising a store and reviewing people and business performance.
  • Driving license is essential.
  • Understanding the importance of nurturing and inspiring colleagues.
  • Comfortable using business systems.
  • Commercially astute.
