Assistant Store Manager

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our Dulux Decorating Centres store in Berwick Upon Tweed. As a key member of our store management team, you'll play a vital role in driving sales and market share growth by building strong relationships with customers and developing a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in delivering a culture of engagement and implementing the national engagement plan.
  • Assist in nurturing a high-performing sales team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Own and manage store standards in line with the DDC Operational Excellence Guide.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to own the P&L, focusing on delivering sales while optimizing margin, cost efficiency, and protecting against stock and cash losses.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Help review performance and monitor customer and store trends.
  • Support improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising a store and reviewing people and business performance.
  • Driving license is essential.
  • Understanding the importance of nurturing and inspiring colleagues.
  • Comfortable using business systems.
  • Commercially astute.
