Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

At Safran Seats, we're seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for producing electrical installation models and detailed drawings using various software packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electrical systems for aircraft seats, ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  2. Generate 2D/3D electrical installation and systems designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software.
  3. Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process.
  4. Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs to ensure successful integration of each design element.
  5. Validate products through prototyping, testing, and other methods.
  6. Contribute to the development of Best Practice guidelines.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  2. Experience with 3D CAD and AutoCAD electrical software packages or equivalent.
  3. Understanding of tolerances and manufacturing processes, as well as OEM installation requirements.
  4. Ability to read design drawings and specifications.
  5. Good communication skills for daily liaison with customers, airframers, suppliers, and integrated programme teams.
