Electrical Design Engineer

Join Safran Seats, a leading manufacturer of premium aircraft seats, as an Electrical Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and integrating electrical systems within aircraft seats to meet company, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop 3D harnesses, electrical schematics, and block diagrams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet company, regulatory, and customer requirements
  • Generate 2D/3D electrical installation and systems designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software
  • Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs to ensure successful integration of electrical systems
  • Validate product designs through prototyping, testing, and other methods
  • Contribute to the development of Best Practice guidelines and follow established procedures
Requirements:
  • Minimum degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with 3D CAD and AutoCAD electrical software packages or equivalent
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and OEM installation requirements
  • Ability to read design drawings and specifications
  • Good communication skills for daily collaboration with customers, airframers, suppliers, and integrated programme teams
