Electrical Design Engineer

At Safran Seats, we're seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing electrical installation models and detailed drawings using various software packages. Your primary focus will be on designing and integrating electrical systems within aircraft seats to meet company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop 3D harness designs, electrical schematics, and block diagrams
- Ensure the design and integration of electrical systems comply with company, regulatory, and customer requirements
- Generate 2D/3D electrical installation and systems designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software
- Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers, and OEMs
- Ensure the successful integration of each design element within the product as a whole
- Participate in the validation of the product using methods such as prototyping and testing
- Follow and contribute to the development of Best Practice guidelines
- Ideal candidate should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience using 3D CAD and AutoCAD electrical software packages or equivalent
- Understanding of effective tolerance application and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read design drawings and specifications
- Good communication skills for daily liaison with customers, airframers, suppliers, and integrated programme teams
