About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Data Analyst to join our team in Sussex Corporate Development Department. As a Performance Data Analyst, you will be responsible for producing meaningful and insightful reports and management information dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and other analytical/data visualisation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate, analyse, interpret and present data on all aspects of police performance.
  • Act as the force analytical lead for one or more designated performance areas and be accountable for the accurate representation of data on these subject areas.
  • Work with external partners, such as the Office of the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) and Local Authorities to provide statistics, analysis, and reports.
  • Meet statutory reporting obligations by reporting statistical information to the Home Office, HMICFRS and NPCC.
  • Design and develop reports and dashboards to meet stakeholder requirements.

Requirements:

  • Highly developed computer skills, including prior experience of using Microsoft 365 products, including Word and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Prior experience, knowledge or training in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView/Qlik Sense, SAP Analytics etc.
  • Experience in research, interpretation and analysis of complex management and performance information with the ability to analyse large quantities of data by the application of accepted statistical techniques.
  • High level of self-management, motivation, drive and determination, to be able to work independently to strict deadlines and without direct supervision.
