About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Insight Analyst to join our team at Sussex Police. As a key member of our Corporate Development Department, you will play a crucial role in providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain advanced data visualizations and reports using Microsoft Power BI and other analytical tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance reporting requirements and design products to meet those needs.
  • Provide statistical information to the Home Office, HMICFRS, and NPCC, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct independent research and horizon scanning to stay up-to-date on best practices and developments relevant to performance.
  • Support the Senior Management Team with detailed analytical reports, providing independent scrutiny and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft 365 products and Excel, with experience in business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present to key stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • High level of self-management, motivation, drive, and determination to work independently to strict deadlines.
