Job Title: Performance Insight Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Insight Analyst to join our team at Sussex Police. As a key member of our Corporate Development Department, you will play a crucial role in providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain advanced data analytics and reporting capabilities using Microsoft Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance reporting requirements and design products to meet those needs.
  • Provide data analysis and insights to support business decisions, including answering Freedom of Information requests and meeting statutory reporting obligations.
  • Work with external partners, such as the Office of the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner and Local Authorities, to provide statistics, analysis, and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and developments in performance analysis and data visualization.
Requirements:
  • Education to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft 365 products and Excel, with experience in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to contribute and present in meetings and written reports.
  • High level of self-management, motivation, drive, and determination to work independently to strict deadlines.
