Dementia Care Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dementia Manager to join our team at the Royal British Legion Trading. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support services for individuals living with dementia.
About the Role
As a Dementia Manager, you will be responsible for imparting knowledge and expertise to staff teams to enhance their understanding and management of risk and informed decision-making. You will ensure the positive wellbeing of beneficiaries living with dementia, enabling them to achieve their aspirations and meaningful outcomes. Your role will involve working collaboratively with the staff team to deliver safe, therapeutically effective, and person-centred care of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert guidance and training to staff on dementia care and management
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Collaborate with the Deputy Manager to provide leadership and direction to the team
* Ensure that all care and support services are delivered in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and current CQC regulatory requirements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Registered Nurse or Social Care qualification with a Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
* Significant experience of working in a Care Home setting with older people living with dementia or providing community support services to individuals living with dementia and their families
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, beneficiaries, and stakeholders
