Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with the IT Audit & Compliance manager to develop and implement a Controls Framework.
  • Produce regular KPI reporting on IT Audit and Compliance activities, providing insights into the programme's status.
  • Take ownership of ongoing compliance monitoring, awareness training, and testing, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Coordinate, execute, and oversee key controls and processes, maintaining high standards of security and efficiency.
  • Track and manage continual improvement activities across IT Audit and Compliance programmes, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Assist in defining, documenting, and maintaining security baselines, standards, policy, and procedures in conjunction with relevant IT teams.
  • Maintain and take ownership of the IT Audit Findings log, tracking actions to completion with precision.
  • Provide expert assistance and consultancy to all other IT teams, adhering to best practice and meeting business requirements.
  • Evaluate and automate compliance checking of agreed standards, policy, and controls, streamlining processes and reducing risk.
  • Serve as a liaison between the IT Production Heads and IT & Audit Compliance teams, fostering collaboration and open communication.
  • Maintain personal/professional development to meet the evolving demands of the role, including relevant regulatory and legislative training.
  • Ensure that all interactions with customers, clients, or colleagues convey a clear, fair, and consistent high-quality service, reflecting positively on CMC Markets.
  • Promote confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role, upholding the company's values and reputation.


Requirements:



  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulatory policies, standards, procedures, and controls (ISO27001/SOC/MAS TRM/BAIT/CIS/NIST/Cyber Essentials etc.).
  • Understanding of IT standards, best practices for information and IT security, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience in a Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or External Audit role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Experience working in a Regulated Environment (Financial Services), with a deep understanding of the associated challenges and opportunities.
  • Familiarity with security controls, processes, and governance desirable (e.g., access recertification).
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to document, review, and report complex information effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong command of Excel and IT tools, and basic scripting skills to process information efficiently.
  • Able to engage with diverse audiences remotely and face-to-face, conveying confidence and expertise.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for self-learning and problem-solving.
  • Experience in dynamic environments where adaptability and flexibility are essential.
