Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Design Lead to join our team in Yeovil. As a senior member of our design team, you will play a pivotal role in the design and management of electro-mechanical systems from concept to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electro-mechanical systems, including concept design, prototyping, and testing.
  • Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company goals.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior design engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Travel to customer sites to provide technical support and ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in electro-mechanical design, with a strong track record of delivering projects from concept to implementation.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD models, 2D drawing, MATLAB, and Simulink.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
