Are you an ambitious individual looking to make your mark in a dynamic business? We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis based in North Derby.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, conducting bank and balance sheet reconciliations, developing and maintaining budgets and forecasts, creating cash flow forecasts, providing weekly reporting and forecasting, and handling VAT returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Monthly Management Accounts: You will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations: You will be responsible for reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
  • Develop and Maintain Budgets and Forecasts: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining budgets and forecasts, including financial modeling and analysis.
  • Create Cash Flow Forecasts: You will be responsible for creating cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient funds are available for business operations.
  • Provide Weekly Reporting and Forecasting: You will be responsible for providing weekly reporting and forecasting to senior management.
  • Handle VAT Returns: You will be responsible for handling VAT returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Requirements
  • You must be actively studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Excellent attention to detail is required.
  • Experience in management accounting, month-end duties, and reporting is essential.
  • A team player with good Excel skills.
