About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Countryside Engagement Manager. As a key member of our Visitor Experience team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our visitors and ensuring that they have a memorable and enjoyable experience at Box Hill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the visitor-facing team at Box Hill to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure that our visitors have a great experience.
  • Develop and implement seasonal events and activities that promote the natural beauty of the countryside and encourage visitors to explore and appreciate the area.
  • Work closely with our volunteers and staff to ensure that our visitor operations are compliant, well-presented, and well-staffed at all times.
  • Manage and maintain the presentation standards of our site, including the interpretation and signage, to ensure that visitors have a clear understanding of the natural and cultural heritage of the area.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow support for the National Trust through fundraising and membership, and to engage visitors with the work that we do.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to identify and manage risks, and to ensure that our operations are safe and secure.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of delivering inspirational engagement activities and leading teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Experience of working with and supervising volunteers, and a commitment to developing their skills and abilities.
  • Understanding of how to identify and manage risks, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our visitors and staff.
