About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Countryside Engagement Manager. As a key member of our Visitor Experience team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Visitor Facing Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of Welcome & Service Assistants and supporting our volunteers on site to deliver exceptional service.
  • Develop Seasonal Events and Activities: You will create and implement seasonal events and activities that inspire our diverse audience to explore the wonderful hills and woodlands on offer.
  • Ensure Compliance and Presentation Standards: You will ensure that our visitor operations remain compliant, well-presented, and well-staffed each day.
  • Grow Support through Fundraising and Membership: You will engage visitors with the work that we do and inspire them to support the National Trust through fundraising and membership.
Requirements
  • Experience in Delivering Engagement Activities: You will have experience of delivering inspirational engagement activities that inspire and motivate our visitors.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: You will have excellent people skills, enabling good working relationships with those in your team and across the property.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills: You will have strong organisational skills, and the ability to time manage projects successfully.
  • Customer Focus: You will have a flexible customer-focused approach with experience in delivering high standards of customer service.
  • Volunteer Management: You will have experience of working with and supervising volunteers.
  • Risk Management: You will have an understanding of how to identify and manage risks.
