Quantum Enhanced Position Navigation and Timing Hub Manager

Job Purpose
The University of Glasgow is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hub Manager to lead the EPSRC UK Hub for Quantum Enabled Position Navigation and Timing (QEPNT). This prestigious programme is part of the UK's National Quantum Technology Programme, aiming to establish the UK as a global leader in future Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) technologies and systems.The Hub Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operational management of the project, including assessing project needs, preparing timelines, identifying key milestones and project work plans, and ensuring that deadlines and deliverables are achieved. This will involve working closely with the Principal Investigator and Director to provide leadership and direction to the QEPNT operational and Business Development teams.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of successful staff leadership and management, including target setting and performance management. They will also have experience of working in a research-intensive environment and be able to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post.
The Hub Manager will be responsible for engaging with new opportunities as they arise to deliver value to the research and partner communities. They will also be required to develop and maintain an accurate spend profile for the project that meets funder requirements, ensuring partner spend plans and commitments are delivered within budget.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive working knowledge of financial management, with an ability to manage and control budgets, analyse financial data. They will also have in-depth knowledge and understanding of project/programme management methodologies and be able to identify and resolve a wide variety of complex issues using specialist knowledge and a high degree of initiative.
