We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Teacher - SEN to join our team at Underley Garden School in Kirkby Lonsdale.
About the Role:As a Class Teacher - SEN, you will be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for our pupils with complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities.
You will work closely with the Headteacher to develop a curriculum that meets the individual needs of our students, and promote positive relationships between peers.
We are looking for a teacher who has a therapeutic approach to their teaching and learning, and is willing to teach students of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the individual needs of our students
- Create a positive and safe learning environment
- Work closely with the Headteacher to develop a curriculum
- Promote positive relationships between peers
- Teach students of all ages
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Has a background in Early Years and Primary Teaching
- Has experience of working with Autistic pupils
- Is willing to teach and lead on a curriculum area(s)
- Is calm, engaging, resilient, and has an innovative style of teaching
- Is motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential
