We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Teacher - SEN to join our team at Underley Garden School in Kirkby Lonsdale.
About the Role:As a Class Teacher - SEN, you will be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for our pupils, promoting positive relationships between peers, and developing a curriculum that meets the needs of our students.
You will work closely with the Headteacher to develop a curriculum that is tailored to the needs of our students, and you will be expected to lead on a curriculum area(s) and teach students of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of our students
- Lead on a curriculum area(s) and teach students of all ages
- Create a positive and safe learning environment for our pupils
- Promote positive relationships between peers
- Work closely with the Headteacher to develop a curriculum that is tailored to the needs of our students
We are looking for a qualified teacher with a therapeutic approach to teaching and learning, who has experience of working with Autistic pupils and is willing to teach and lead on a curriculum area(s).
You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.
