We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Specialist. As a key member of our Health and Wellbeing College, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to achieve their goals and improve their overall wellbeing.

About the Role:

  • Deliver peer-led health education courses to support individuals in developing self-management skills and promoting recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians, experts by experience, and health and voluntary sector staff to co-produce high-quality services.
  • Promote and engage in co-production, ensuring that services are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver engaging learning materials and activities to promote participant engagement and empowerment.
  2. Provide one-to-one support and guidance to participants, drawing on both clinical guidance and lived experience.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement effective service delivery models, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  4. Participate in regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance professional development and maintain expertise.

Person Specification:

  • Education to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Lived experience of mental health condition(s) and use of secondary mental health services.
  • Knowledge and personal experience of self-management interventions, shared decision-making, and goal setting.
