Luton Bennett is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Northampton. This is a competitive role that offers a salary of £45,000 per annum, plus overtime paid at 1.5X and other benefits.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs across production, split between reactive and PPM maintenance. You will also troubleshoot and fault-find issues on breakdowns, and work on a range of production lines including extrusion, mixing and lamination.
To succeed in this role, you will have a strong background in manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance. Experience of working in high volume manufacturing is desirable, but not essential. You will also need to be a qualified mechanical engineer with confidence in your troubleshooting skills and the ability to problem solve effectively, particularly with hydraulics and pneumatics.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will be a great communicator with excellent problem-solving skills. You will also be willing to learn new skills through external courses and training opportunities.
