Job Overview

An exciting opportunity is available within the Urology Department for the right person. This post will promote the holistic needs of patient care for Urological patients, ensuring the highest standard of care and support. However, personality and commitment are essential, so full training and support will be given to the right applicant.

Main Duties of the Job

The Urology CNS is responsible for the specialist nursing care of Urology patients.

Positively impact on the experience of patients and carers by providing high standards of clinical practice and care.

Person SpecificationQualifications
  • Fully Qualified Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Number;
  • Demonstrates ongoing professional development;
  • Educated to degree level;
  • Advance Communication Skills;
  • Willingness to undertake Non-Medical Prescribing Course.
Experience
  • Experience at Band 5 within Urology;
  • Audit and research experience within the relevant area;
  • Evidence of leadership qualities.
Knowledge
  • Good clinical knowledge and skills in a surgical environment;
  • Experience of working effectively both independently and as part of a team;
  • Knowledge of Urology Cancer Pathways.
