Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Urology team in a pivotal administrative role. This position is essential for supporting our clinical nurse specialists and facilitating patient assessments for those on suspected cancer pathways.
As a key member of our team, your duties will include:
- Managing systems for processing results and ensuring effective communication with patients.
- Scheduling appointments and tracking clinical outcomes to enhance patient care.
- Collaborating with the Urology CNS team to meet FDS and 62-day targets.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve a variety of administrative tasks, including:
- Coordinating necessary assessments and appointments for patient pathways.
- Ensuring patients receive critical results prior to their scheduled reviews.
- Facilitating transitions of care between service teams.
- Directing patients to appropriate resources for higher-level decisions.
- Triage incoming patient inquiries, following established protocols.
- Monitoring and reporting on service performance, including data entry into relevant databases.
- Conducting pre-arranged calls to patients under professional guidance.
- Participating in clinical reviews to address pathway issues and ensuring outcomes are implemented.
- Supporting the CNS team with administrative tasks to ensure timely diagnoses.
- Scheduling patient appointments as required.
