About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Clinical Oncology Consultant to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Oncology department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, predominantly in Urology, and breast cancer services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our team to strengthen existing Urological cancers and breast cancer services.
  • Develop and implement the Trust's strategy in partnership with the chair of the Trust's multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings leads.
  • Support the development of the urological and breast cancer service.
  • Provide systemic anti-cancer treatment for patients with urological and breast cancers.
  • Develop and participate in collaborative initiatives, studies, and trials regionally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Collaborate with colleagues at the Regional Cancer Centre to ensure optimum quality of care for cancer patients.
  • Provide a comprehensive Oncology service, in collaboration with other Oncologists.
Person Specification
  • GMC specialist register within 6 months of receipt of CCT.
  • FRCR qualification.
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CTT in Medical Oncology.
  • Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of oncology problems.
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
  • Experience of delivering SACT in urological and other cancers.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of GMC standards in good medical practice.
