We are pleased to announce a permanent full-time opportunity for a qualified candidate to join our Haematology/Oncology inpatient unit. This role requires a motivated and forward-thinking Clinical Nurse Specialist. Prior experience in Oncology and Haematology is crucial, and comprehensive training will be provided.

Our department is vibrant, innovative, and presents numerous challenges. This is an excellent chance for you to become part of a highly skilled, dynamic, and supportive multidisciplinary team. As a junior team member, you will be assigned a preceptor and will receive proactive support to advance to a senior nursing position. You will enhance your expertise in Oncology and Haematology nursing and complete your chemotherapy training. Key Responsibilities

To oversee the organization and daily management of a patient group.

To effectively lead and take responsibility for the ward team and the clinical care provided in a designated area, both in the absence of and in collaboration with the Ward Manager & Deputy Sister/Deputy Charge Nurse.

To collaborate closely with the Ward Manager, Deputy Sister/Deputy Charge Nurse, Matrons, Practice Development Team (PDT), and the Multidisciplinary Team to ensure the highest quality of assessment and evaluated care is delivered to support each patient’s care pathway and enhance the patient experience. Maintain clinical credibility and share knowledge.

Job Duties

To take charge of the ward when deemed appropriate by the ward manager in alignment with achieving relevant objectives.

To serve as a role model and take a lead role in the patient journey, including patient flow, while maintaining clinical credibility.

To ensure that practices are continuously reviewed and developed in collaboration with the Ward Manager, Deputy Sister/Deputy Charge Nurse, ward team, and the Practice Development Team.

Qualifications and Experience
