We are currently seeking a Clinical Laboratory Support specialist to join our dynamic team at the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Laboratory Support specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring that our laboratories operate smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality diagnostic support to patients across the region.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties, including specimen reception, labelling, registration, and pre-analytical sample preparation, processing and data manipulation using the department networked computer system.
  • You will assist in the preparation of specimens for analysis, including the separation of blood, serum and plasma, and the cataloguing and storage of specimens.
  • You will also participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to the maintenance of a safe working environment.
