The Bodmin Jail Hotel & Attraction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests. As the Head of Culinary Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing every detail of our kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and create menus that showcase seasonal ingredients, market trends, and customer preferences.
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, ingredient sourcing, and presentation.
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the kitchen team to consistently deliver exceptional and memorable dining experiences, supporting the team and encouraging growth.
- Supply Chain Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality and fresh ingredients.
- Cost Control: Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and manage the kitchen budget, including cost control measures and financial reporting.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the kitchen team complies with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role.
- Culinary Expertise: Extensive knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
