Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing company to find a skilled Injection Moulding Technician.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career within a well-established business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operating injection moulding and actuator assembly production lines
  • Conducting quality control tasks to ensure products meet customer specifications
  • Performing preventative and technical maintenance of production lines, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment
  • Reactive maintenance and repairs of automated lines, packing and palletisation equipment
  • Installing new equipment and modifying existing systems
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives, including design and development of new ideas
  • Assisting with stock takes as required

Key skills and experience required:

  • Mechanical and electrical experience is advantageous
  • Plastic injection moulding experience is essential
  • Pneumatic maintenance experience is desirable
  • Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings and manuals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including fault-finding to a component level
  • Understanding and ability to implement Health and Safety requirements
  • Awareness of hygiene and quality standards in manufacturing
  • Basic analytical and computer skills

Working hours:

24/7 shift pattern, with 2 days of shifts (6am-6pm) followed by 2 nights (6pm-6am) and 4 days off
