Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Nicholas Associates is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join their team at the Barlborough site. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery and equipment, ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain injection moulding and actuator assembly production lines.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Conduct preventative and technical maintenance, including equipment cleaning and lubrication.
- Undertake breakdown repairs and reactive maintenance on automated assembly lines and packaging equipment.
- Install new machinery and modify existing equipment as required.
- Operate and maintain material conveyance systems and chiller systems.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Promote safe working practices and adhere to the company's 'clean as you go' policy.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance is advantageous.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, drawings, and manuals.
- Proven ability to fault find down to component level.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a manufacturing setting.
- Awareness of quality and hygiene standards relevant to the manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently, especially outside office hours, ensuring safety and responsibility.
- Analytical mindset with competent computer skills.
- Eagerness to develop personal skills in line with company progression opportunities.
