Birmingham Children's Trust is a thriving organization, recently inspected as GOOD, aiming to become a center of excellence in Social Care and family support.

Our Residential Children's Homes provide short breaks to children with disabilities and care for disabled children who cannot live with their families. We also offer emergency care for children aged 8-17 years, all homes registered with OFSTED, and we're expanding our residential services.

This is an exciting time to join us, offering full support, ongoing training, and development opportunities to talented individuals who want to help us improve and grow our services.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to work alongside the Home Manager at Bridgelands House. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading residential teams in settings for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties and a passion for achieving the best outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage professional staff, setting clear directions and objectives.
  • Inspire others by acting with integrity.
  • Manage, build, and motivate residential teams, creating a positive environment that encourages open discussion and innovation.
  • Support performance, build capability, and empower staff.

The successful candidate will have a QCF Level 3 in Children and Families and QCF Level 5 or equivalent, with a willingness to undertake a range of training, including leadership and management training.

We offer an enhanced night allowance of time and a third for hours worked between 8pm and 6am, making this a competitive opportunity for those looking for a challenging and rewarding role.
