Crisis Line Worker

We're a renowned national charity dedicated to supporting Muslim women and girls through our confidential and non-judgmental helpline service. Our core mission is to provide information, support, and guidance to those in need, while also advocating for equality and social justice.
Job Description:
In this role, you'll be responsible for answering calls, emails, texts, and webchats, responding to telephone and electronic enquiries, and maintaining the helpline database. You'll also be required to promote the service and engage in other MWNUK projects, services, and activities related to MWN Helpline issues. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in their community.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you'll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service-users. Accurate listening and note-taking skills are essential, as well as experience engaging with and dealing with problems faced by Muslim women and girls. A basic understanding of key issues affecting Muslim women and girls is also necessary. Additionally, you'll need to possess IT skills, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and Outlook. A second language is desirable, with proficiency in Urdu, Arabic, Punjabi, Mirpuri, Pashto, Bengali, or Gujarati. The salary for this role is £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
