Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

Our client, a leading Principal Contractor in the Re-Cladding Sector, is seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or take their next step in their QS career.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and monitor the commercial aspects of delivery of assigned contracts to budget, working closely with the surveyor and senior surveyor.
  2. Liaise with the surveyor and senior surveyor to ensure delivery of budget and financial information.
  3. Manage and monitor assigned project plans, associated budgets, costs, and contract terms, with the surveyor and senior surveyor as appropriate.
  4. Liaise with the financial controller, procurement manager, and estimator to ensure seamless project execution.
  5. Valuate works and collate associated documentation for inclusion in CVR, cash flow forecast, and sales forecast.
  6. Monitor and manage sub-contractor orders, approvals, and payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  7. Ensure Project Probe is updated with relevant information, maintaining accurate records and reports.
Requirements:

1-2 years of experience as an Assistant QS or studying part-time in the 3rd year upwards, with a high level of achievement working remotely.
