Our Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of lessons, adjusting activities according to the pupil's needs and responses. You will act as a second pair of ears and eyes for the teacher, observing pupil's performance and behaviour, drawing any issues to the teacher's attention. You will also support the teaching team by preparing classroom materials ready for fun-filled lessons.

You will have the enthusiasm and resilience to work with children and young people who have a wide variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties, and Speech, Language and Communication needs. You will have an awareness of child/young person's development and learning, and an awareness of the needs of children and young people with learning, sensory and physical difficulties. You will have experience of working with children and young people, and hold a NVQ level 2 qualification in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent or achievement within a reasonable timescale.
