Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team at Westmeads, our extra care service in Royston, Barnsley. As an Extra Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling older people to maintain their wellbeing and lead active, independent lives.

About the Role
  • Provide respectful, dignified personal care and emotional support to individuals according to their needs and preferences.
  • Prepare meals and refreshments, and support individuals with nutrition & hydration.
  • Assist with household and everyday living tasks, involving individuals as fully as possible to maintain their independence.
  • Support individuals to take medication and administer medication as needed.
  • Enable individuals to take part in activities within the scheme and enjoy relationships with others.
  • Support residents to maximize their health & wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
  • Respond to changing needs and emergencies, and support individuals to live safely.
