About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Support Worker to join our team at an independent Special day school. The successful candidate will support students with a range of needs, including MLD, SLD, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in their learning, development, and progress across various curriculum areas.
  • Provide high-quality support to students with complex medical conditions and sensory/physical impairments.
  • Create an inclusive environment that fosters equality, diversity, and respect for all students.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of Special Education issues and embody the values of our client school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver effective education and support tailored to individual needs.
Requirements
  • Able to work towards obtaining formal qualifications and take responsibility for own development (fully funded by the school).
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
  • Enthusiastic about outdoor and community learning.
  • Creative problem-solvers with a solution-focused approach.
  • Educated to at least Level 2 Maths and English or equivalent.

Salary Information
