Specialist Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our specialist team at Austin Fraser, providing a highly specialist learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 with complex needs, including autism spectrum disorders and associated difficulties.
The successful candidate will be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum within various learning contexts. This role requires empathy, creativity, and a solution-focused approach to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with complex needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism
- Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues
- Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role
Requirements:
- Educated to at least level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
