About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at New Forest Care Ltd. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children who display challenging behaviour and require emotional and behavioural support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a positive adult role model, providing guidance and support to our young people to develop social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Support the development of self-esteem, a sense of safety, and personal strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
  • Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the residential home, including cooking, cleaning, and finances.
  • Engage with our children, helping to develop their interests and organising relevant activities.
  • Ensure the needs of the children are met and review and record changes to those needs.
Requirements
  • Fully supported to complete a funded Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, if not already completed.
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable children in a residential care environment, although not essential.
  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to being a positive role model, with confidence in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Flexible and able to work a residential care rota, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
