Job Description:
Acrlny is seeking a skilled Head of Library Engagement and Experience to join our team in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) at Harvard University. The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year.

This position serves as a member of the leadership team for the Services for Academic Programs (SAP) department, coordinating programs that promote engagement with library services and resources. The Head of Library Engagement and Experience will provide leadership across four main areas of responsibility: overseeing the FAS Library Liaison Program, developing learning and engagement opportunities for students and faculty, coordinating outreach and patron experiences, and advancing humanities research support.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, delivering, and assessing orientation programs for new arrivals to FAS and GSAS. They will also lead, manage, support, and assess the FAS Library Liaison services program, aiding staff to increase proficiency in areas such as information literacy and learning design. Additionally, they will supervise up to five staff members, promote practices to support equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and antiracism, and serve as a library liaison to academic departments and programs. This individual will also plan, provide, and coordinate outreach and engagement services for a diverse community of learners and library users, engage in and facilitate professional development opportunities, and provide leadership for humanities scholarship.
