Major Recruitment Doncaster Industrial is seeking an experienced External Sales Executive to join their successful Sales team in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of the business.

About the Role:

This role will be instrumental in generating new business through proactive outbound sales methods. The primary focus will be on engaging customers and generating interest in our comprehensive range of cases, as well as our other plastic packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the brand into new market segments.
  2. Identify and visit a high volume of potential new customers to demonstrate the unique value of our products.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability, customer satisfaction, and alignment with overall business objectives.
  4. Attend and support trade exhibitions and events to promote the brand.
  5. Handle incoming packaging inquiries, providing product advice and support.
  6. Administer quotations and samples to drive sales and hit/exceed targets.
  7. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges, providing regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market feedback.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 3 years of external B2B sales experience required, ideally within a case/foam converting background.
  2. Proficient in IT skills, including knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
  3. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Experience in providing technical product demonstrations and advice.
  5. Demonstrated success in sales, business development, and/or account management.
  6. Strong network within the industry and the ability to quickly build rapport with new clients.
  7. Excellent time management, self-discipline, and organizational abilities.
  8. Energetic, highly motivated, and results-oriented with a consistently positive attitude.
  9. Willingness to spend a minimum of days per week visiting customers.
