About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Coordinator to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our biomedical team, you will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance and servicing of medical equipment across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for end users and maintenance providers to ensure scheduled equipment servicing is completed on time and according to contract terms.
  • Ensure recommendations for remedial work are followed up and fully addressed to ensure continued safe use of medical devices.
  • Record equipment service history and update maintenance records on the Trust asset register.
  • Keep accurate records relating to service contracts and monitor provider performance to ensure contractors fulfill their contractual responsibilities.
  • Interpret technical information from medical device service records and participate in equipment audits to verify the medical device asset inventory.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with a degree or NVQ Level 6 in a relevant subject, or extensive knowledge and experience in equipment maintenance and support. You will have experience of equipment management information systems and databases, as well as working with a wide range of people in different roles and at different levels of seniority.
