Job Title: Public Health Principal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Principal to join our team at Venn Group. As a Public Health Principal, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of public health workplans for babies, children, and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an action plan for the Council's BCYP strategy, monitoring its impact and effectiveness.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of an infant feeding strategy, working across the system to increase breast feeding rates, including pre-birth and introduction to solids.
  • Lead on healthy start, oral health, and healthy weight for babies, children, and young people, including providing Public Health input to local clinical pathway redesign.
  • Develop and manage relationships with primary care to improve partnership working and coordination on the health of babies, children, and young people.
Requirements:
  • Must have previously worked at Public Health Principal level or similar, covering children and young people.
  • A Master's or degree in Public Health would be beneficial but is not essential.
