Registered Children's Home Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to join our team at Opus People Solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an EBD children's residential home, ensuring the highest quality care and support for each child. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement care plans for each young person, working closely with Key Workers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Uphold high care standards, adhering to National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance measures, seeking feedback from young people and staff to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the welfare of each child.
  • Participate in child care planning and review meetings, ensuring effective communication and decision-making.
  • Recruit, induct, and supervise staff, providing development plans and fostering a positive team culture.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with BESD children and managing challenging behavior.
  • Strong management and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
  • Commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment for children.
  • Effective planning, organizing, and resource allocation skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in the past 5 years, including at least 1 year in a supervisory/senior position in residential care.
  • NVQ 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent) or working towards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in children's residential care.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary of up to £55,000 - negotiable depending on experience.
  • Monday - Friday working hours, 9 am - 5 pm.
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
