Accounting Policy Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate group wide accounting policies and maintain the Group accounting manual.
  • Provide technical accounting support to business unit finance teams.
  • Advise Risk, Treasury, and Tax functions on accounting policy matters.
  • Evaluate and implement new IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support the production of Board and Audit Committee papers, advising on accounting and regulatory developments.
  • Engage effectively with auditors on accounting issues and audit matters.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Group Accounting and Regulatory Policy to inform and advise the Finance community on emerging developments.
  • Lead the finance technical training agenda.
  • Conduct technical reviews of the Group's financial statements to ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical and financial reporting knowledge within the financial services sector, preferably insurance.
  • Highly competitive salary up to £70,000 - £80,000 per annum.
  • Bonus, Pension, Health Insurance.
  • London based - flexible hybrid working model (2 days onsite).
