Job Opportunity:


We are seeking a talented Tunneling Design Expert to join our team at AtkinsRéalis.


About the Role:


This position involves working on the design of tunnels and underground structures, utilizing advanced analysis techniques and practical design experience. You will provide support to clients throughout the project life cycle, from planning and feasibility stages to commissioning, operation, refurbishment, and upgrade of tunnel infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and lead tunnelling design teams
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality tunnel designs
  • Contribute to the development of innovative tunnelling solutions
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and stakeholders

Requirements:



  • Chartered status or close to submitting chartership in civil or structural engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills
  • Proven post-graduation experience in engineering design companies
  • Knowledge of advanced constitutive soil models and numerical modelling software
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients
