Responsibilities:

* Review and inspect building envelope systems across a range of building types.
* Work closely with clients, providing expert technical advice.
* Travel to project locations as required to meet client and project demands.
* Prepare detailed technical reports with clarity and precision.
* Collaborate with a specialized team of structural engineers and architects.
* Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices for building envelopes.

Requirements:

* Experience in the design and construction of building envelope systems, from concept through to completion.
* Knowledge of cladding systems, including framing, gaskets, insulants, vapour barriers, and membranes.
* Familiarity with a broad range of materials, including Aluminium, Steel, Timber, GRP, PVC, ETFE, and others.
* Experience with coatings and protective systems.
* Understanding of building interfaces, tolerances, ventilation, and bespoke design considerations.
* Expertise in maintenance, testing, and repair of cladding systems.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients.
* Proven experience in client-facing roles and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and industry standards.
* Report writing expertise with the ability to convey complex technical details clearly.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

* Experience in Due Diligence or Latent Defects Insurance roles.
* Expert Witness experience.
